Prompt - Looking Forward to Fall

The end of summer can always be bittersweet. But look on the bright side, Fall is coming! Cooler weather, changing colors, Halloween, Thanksgiving, warm tea, pumpkin pie, sweaters and scarves, and other lovely things that come with Fall. You'll get over it, I promise. ;)
Looking Forward to Fall...
Detail to try: Show the transition from summer to fall. Use pictures or colors, and blend them together.

What are some things that you are looking forward to? Pumpkin Spice Lattes, layered outfits to stay warm, no frizzy hair, dressing up for Halloween, or gathering the family for Thanksgiving? Share!

Me? I'm excited to finally pull out my jacket collection and use them! I love jackets and coats, I always have to stay warm, even in the office. Oh, and hot chocolate. :)

Thank you so much again for joining and playing along this summer! It's been wonderful to keep up with something like this, and prepare me for more fun classes or events like this! I'll let you all know if I do this again for another season, or the same time next year.

Much happiness and love,

Tomorrow will be our last prompt for the class, so look out for that!

Catch Up! Week 10

Happy Saturday!

This is our last weekly catch up post, and I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who's ever blogged and shared their In The Sun journals and spread the word. It means so much to me that you deemed this class worthy to spread the word to your friends and readers. I appreciate it so very much.

And we'll be using Mr. Linky again to make things easier when it comes to submitting your In The Sun blog posts and journal pages. Please share any of your ITS blog posts that you've done this past week!

If you have any questions about how to submit your blog post through Mr. Linky, just comment and I'll reply asap!

I'll be back tomorrow with the last Inspiration Sunday!

Prompt - Adieu Summer

I'm so sorry that I wasn't able to post up the prompt right at midnight! My internet was out all day yesterday and we finally got it fixed this morning. So I'm sorry international participants for the long wait, and good morning to the west hemisphere participants!

Even though the summer temperatures continue for another month or so, the mentality of summer is coming to an end. School will be back in session soon (or already is in some areas), public pools and water parks are closing for Fall, and Halloween is just around the corner.

So it's best to say, we'll have to say goodbye to Summer. And what better way to do it then write a letter to it?

Adieu, Summer.
Detail to try: Add a pocket to your journal by simply taping/stapling/gluing a piece of paper to the page and leave an opening to slip a note into it. Added bonus: Slip a picture in there as well if you can!

Adieu, Summer (Letter)

Write a goodbye letter to summer. Talk about the sweet memories it gave you, or you can cuss it out for giving you misery. Make it personal, or make it short and sweet. Whatever feelings you have for summer, express it.

So what would you say to Summer?

P.S. This is NOT the last prompt! We have one last one on Monday, and this weekend will be the last Catch Up Saturday and Inspiration Sunday.  So see you tomorrow!

Prompt - 5 More Minutes

I got inspiration for this prompt from my own job, Starbucks, whom is doing a project with Instagram and asking the public "What will you do with 5 more minutes?" You can find inspiring photos and answers here.

So what would you do if you had 5 more minutes of summer?
A detail to try: Cut up a picture into pieces and glue it back together. It can be strait and normal, or jumble it up like a puzzle.

"If I had 5 more minutes of summer, I'd use it to go take one more dip in the pool and stare up into the sky."

Have a lovely Thursday!

Prompt - A Better Summer

On the flip side of yesterday's post, you know that you don't have time to do everything you wanted to do. So you might as well write it down so you can make a goal of it for next summer!
A Better Summer

You can plan ahead to make your next summer an even more memorable season. So you won't be thinking "Gosh, I just don't know what to do this summer!" next year. Smart, eh? ;)

So what's on your to-do/goal list? What can you do to make your next summer even better?

Prompt - Summer Changes

In the summer time, it seems that the days are longer, and you suddenly have so much more free time on your hands (or not, who knows?). With all of this time on your hands, what have you done in your free time to change your life this summer?

It can be the little things you haven't noticed yet, like having more time to make homemade meals. Or something big, like finally starting up that project you've always wanted to do!

Record these changes, and put a big fat check mark beside it to show that you've done it!

Summer Change
A Detail to try: Don't ever be afraid to draw or write over your main focal image. Take advantage of the negative space in your photo and journal in all the nooks and crannies you can find.

I know this summer has been full of changes for me, with a new job, launching my etsy shop, and getting through some difficult situations and making grown up decisions along the way. It's been a whirlwind of a season. So how about you?
